Breaking a Five-Month Silence
It is the first new musical nature material since Silent Machines 9 closed that series on February 14, 2026. Between those two dates the only Primary Field Recording Device release was JWM, Pt. 1 in May, from an entirely different persona.
The Bandcamp listing carries no liner notes of its own — unusual for this catalog, where even the drone volumes come with a line or two of framing. It is tagged ambient, atmospheric, electronic, experimental, minimal, soundscape, which places it squarely in the long-form tradition rather than the beat-driven side of the project.
